Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge, was the worlds first dual-curved smartphone, and now that boundry pushing handset has got a bigger brother.
'All About Samsung' a German Samsung Fan site have brought out images of a new device from Samsung's factories that looks like a larger and wider version of the Galaxy S6 Edge.
It's 5.7 inches long and little more than 3 inches wide compared to 5.59 inches and 2.76 inches of the existing Galaxy S6 Edge. In terms of looks, the device is the same as the S6 Edge save for the larger display.
The revamped size brings the new phone, named the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus by All About Samsung, at par with Galaxy Note 4.
In terms of specs, sadly there's not much of change, processor (Exynos 7420), primary camera (16MP), front camera (5MP) and base storage (32GB), one thing that we don't know for sure is wether the handset will be avalible in 64GB and 128GB like it's predecessor.
The S6 Edge Plus, maybe because of the larger display, will also field a 3,000 mAh battery in place of the 2,600 mAh one in the S6 Edge.
We expect Samsung to announce the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus along with the Galaxy Note 5 on August 12, but that all depends on whether Samsung has been able to complete development and testing of the new device so far. Whatever may be the case, we expect more leaks to surface in the coming days if the speculated launch date is in fact true.
